God gave us an awesome weekend at MPCC! Wow. So much joy. So much gratitude. We were thrilled to welcome our Senior Pastor, Chris Philbeck, back to the pulpit after being away for 4 months to undergo treatment for cancer. What a moment for our church.
I am so grateful for our team and all of their hard work. To our music & programming folks and our entire Worship Staff, thank you.
One of the song lyrics that has been rolling over and over in my mind lately is the song “I Will Rise.” Love it. What a great word picture of the redemptive love of Jesus. Also, for this particular weekend for our church, it perfectly expresses where we are and what we are feeling. These lyrics rang out as we joined together to express what we all have been experiencing these last 4 months. It was awesome.
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles’ wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
