My Random Thoughts – 5.18.10
Here are some of my random thoughts on a rainy day in Indianapolis.
- I think a lot about people who don’t confess faith in Jesus. Where do they go for hope? And, whatever they find – is it really fulfilling?
- Disney is so awesome. We love it. If I could arrange to spend more time there I would really be grateful.
- Isn’t it funny that so many times, athletes in contract years play out of their mind – then they sign a huge contract – then they really struggle? A great example: Matt Holliday and his record setting contract with the Cardinals. He tore it up last year and this year he is really struggling. Interesting.
- I am overwhelmingly in love with my wife. Wow. I married up and I know it. She rocks my world.
- Wow, could the Pacers be more of a non-factor in the city? Talk about a fall from grace…..
- I am still not loving the Blackberry. Most days I want to throw it into a very deep lake. I need to rock the iPhone sometime soon.
- I have become addicted to Blue Bell ice cream. Seriously addicted. Thanks Philbecks! 🙂
- My parents will both turn 80 within the next few months. I am so grateful for their example of faithfulness to the Lord and to one another. I am so blessed to have an awesome family. Thank you all!
- I am loving the new Matt Redman CD, “We Shall Not Be Shaken.” Great stuff.
- I am still loving the newest Matt Maher CD, “Alive Again” as well. Wow.
- One of my dream jobs is to play piano for Barry Manilow.
- I am obsessive about counting my credit cards after paying for something.
- MPCC is an awesome church. I am reminded of that every single weekend. They come ready to worship….ready to engage. I love that.
- We were blessed to sing for the retirement of a dear ministry friend, Maxine Jones and her husband Russ this past weekend. 30 years of pastoral ministry. What an amazing couple. We also got a chance to see some great friends at Church at the Crossing. Lots of great memories!
Ok so we just got back from 3 days in Orlando where we did all things Disney. I will leave you with some pictures from that trip. Enjoy.
Now I’m like, well duh! Truly thankful for your help.
