Update On My Dad: 3.22.11

On behalf of our entire family, we cannot thank you enough for the overwhelming support you have given us over the past few weeks. We are so grateful. Thank you for praying. Please continue. We are so encouraged by all the notes, emails, texts & messages.
Dad had a pretty good day yesterday and was able to rest last night. Mom and my brothers Mike & Mark were able to get him into a wheelchair and take him outside yesterday, which encouraged him.
Right now the doctors are trying to figure out if his heart is strong enough to proceed with the heart procedures & tests that they believe he needs. There will also be rehab involved. The big decision now is do they do rehab first so that he can get stronger before proceeding with the heart?
Prayer Requests:
– That the fluid in Dad’s lungs would leave
– That his heart would continue to grow stronger – strong enough to do whatever rehab & tests he needs
– That his body would stop producing blood clots
– That the right rehab place would open up (whether in Evansville or Indianapolis)
– For Mom, that she would get the rest that she needs so she can stay strong throughout this process
Those are the immediate requests. Thank you so much for praying. I will continue to provide updates as they become available.
Brian and Family-
We are sorry to hear about your Dad’s health issues. We will be praying for all the above requests. If you are looking for a new, clean rehab facility in the Indy/Noblesville area…Becky’s Dad was in Prairie Lakes Health Complex (146th and Cumberland Road, behind the Community Health Building) early this year. He had fallen after Christmas and broke his pelvis in three places.
All our best, to all of you. God bless.
Pat and Becky
