Update On My Dad – 3.21.11

My Parents, Bob & Jean Tabor

Good Morning Friends –

I wanted to write today to thank you for all of the heartfelt emails, texts & prayers for my dad. It means the world to me and my family to know that so many gracious people are praying for Dad.

Thank you for your leadership this weekend as well. It is so humbling to watch the Lord continue to assemble such an incredible team at MPCC. It is amazing. Because of your tremendous leadership and excellent service, I was able to not be here this weekend and remain with my family. I do not have the words to tell you how much that means to me. Thank you so very much.

I am hearing great things about the music this weekend and each of you played a role in that. I wanted you to know that I am incredibly grateful for each of you.

Health Update
Dad remains in the hospital. He has several layers of things going against him right now but we are praying for a miracle! A Pulmonary Embolism is when blood clots that are formed in the legs move through the body and settle in the lungs. Dad has multiples of these in both lungs. His lungs are also full of fluid, which is making it very difficult to breathe. The doctors said it is giving him the sensation of drowning. His body is continuing to produce these clots and they installed a filter to, hopefully, stop these clots from continuing to travel to his lungs.

He also has a very erratic heart rate. There are several things they need to do to the heart but they are waiting to try to get his lung issues under control.

Dad was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia last year, which is a disease that is complicating everything else he is facing.

He was surrounded by family all weekend and as an added blessing, his 3 sisters from Missouri made the trip to Evansville to see him. This gave him a real spark. The doctors said that yesterday, Dad rallied. This was great news. This week is going to be very important as they continue to work on his lungs and prepare him for some procedures on his heart.

Thanks so much for your prayers & encouragement. I had a few moments to share some emails with Dad while I was with him and he was overwhelmed to know that so many people he has never met would take time to pray for him. Our entire family thanks you.

We will continue to post updates through Facebook and my blog, which you can find here: https://briantabor.wordpress.com/

Be Blessed,

Brian & Family
