My Random Thoughts – 4.15.10
Here are some random thoughts on tax day 2010.
- Meatloaf is one of my love languages. Kim made it earlier this week and I requested it again tonight. I love that she loves me like that.
- The Cardinals are off to a nice start this year, as is the main man, Albert. I hope the starting pitching continues to stay this strong.
- I love leading worship at Mount Pleasant. I can actually tell you that not only am I called to do it, I really enjoy it. What a blessing.
- I have never watched an entire episode of The Andy Griffith Show.
- I am a 70’s music junkie. Love it. There’s just something about funk that makes me smile. Throw in some waka waka guitar grooves and I am in.
- After lots of encouragement by Pastor Chris, I have converted to Blue Bell Ice Cream. Candy Jar is amazing.
- I love working in the yard. There’s just something about getting out there and working that gives me perspective.
- Can someone please explain “Chasing Pirates” by Norah Jones.
- I am losing my interest in french fries.
- My dog, Sophie, makes me laugh. Totally uninhibited.
- I am developing mad skillz on Call of Duty. PS3 is awesome.
- Headed to Chicago to minister with Kim this weekend. It’s going to be a long weekend but a great one, I pray.
- Kim writes a blog called “Finally Free.” She is such a gifted communicator. I hope you check it out.
- There are many days when I crave the Slaughterhouse Five pizza from Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza. Tasty. They definitely need a Greenwood location.
- Sometimes I feel like such a nerd because I don’t have an iPhone. I really want one.
- I really wish I was taller – like, able to dunk taller. If I could dunk I would do so several times every single day just because I could.
- I really, really wish I had a Donkey Kong arcade game in my basement.
- One of my favorite scripture verses is Philippians 1:6, “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
- I’ve got a fever, and the only prescription, is more cowbell.
- My first concert ever: Shaun Cassidy. I am so ashamed. (ha)
- I really prefer Mac over PC.
- I have several OCD moments each day: (1) counting my credit cards after use, (2) locking my car or any door to my house and (3) turning off lights when I leave a room. I do each of these multiple times. Silly.
- As a teen my life’s dream was to play trumpet in the Tonight Show Band with Doc Severinsen.
- We spontaneously baptized 114 people last weekend at Mount Pleasant. Totally overwhelming and awesome.
- I get to hear Kim sing this weekend, which I absolutely love.
What are your random thoughts today?
No regrets – great one! Just this morning I had this thought- my life as a child was the pits, truly, but it does not define the woman I have become – took a while to get that right, and really love the child I was – she’s still here.
