CHOG North American Convention
This past Friday Kim and I got the chance to lead worship at the Church of God North American Convention in Anderson, IN. What a night! Thanks so much to all those special people who played a part in the evening and helped to bring it together. We got to see some special friends that we hadn’t seen in a long time. It was a bit like coming home for us.
When you get the chance to sing with Sandi Patty, you do it! We were so honored to be invited to be a part of this special evening. Sandi has been a gracious mentor to both of us and we are so thankful for her support and friendship. Plus, that lady can flat out sing!! Wow. You can view some of our pictures from this event here.
We also got to take some friends from MPCC with us. We took an incredible band made up of: Scott Hoke (bass guitar), Terry Hayes (electric guitar), Zach Myers (drums) and Scott Wilder (acoustic guitar). They are amazing guys and played like true pros. We also took about 20 of our choir members and they brought an energy to the place that made me so grateful and proud! They are awesome!
I had the chance to direct a choir of about 140 people, which is always a thrill. In all, it was an amazing experience.
Now, to my wife. I cannot tell you how proud I am to be her husband. She is such an amazing woman. I was so proud of her on Friday night. So proud of the way she sang and carried herself. So proud of the way she led those people in worship. So proud of the way she sang. So proud of the way she communicated with such passion. She crushed it. I love that woman!
Kim, you are an incredible person who pursues the Lord with everything you’ve got. I love that about you. You are an incredible partner to journey through life with. I love you!
It was a tremendous experience and we are so grateful to have had such a special opportunity. Thanks so much for your prayers and words of encouragement!
